C will make you discover the importance of different temperatures for different dishes. One single product can change taste and texture when being prepared at 20 degrees Celsius, 80 degrees Celsius, 100 degrees Celsius or even 200 degrees Celsius. At C we believe the temperature of preparation is just as important as the quality of the product used. This is also the case for Bar C, the large bar in front of the restaurant. At Bar C you can enjoy drinks with an appetizer or cocktails at dinner time every day of the week and for lunch from Friday to Sunday.
In the middle of our restaurant you will find a large open kitchen, the beating heart of our restaurant. This kitchen provides a unique experience: while having lunch or dinner at the kitchen bar you can watch all the culinary actions that take place inside the kitchen.
C stands for Celsius, but cocktails also play a large role in our restaurant and in Bar C. C is more than a restaurant. With a bar where you can enjoy a nice cold beer or cocktail and an outside terrace where you can enjoy a fine wine with a bite, C suits everyone’s taste.
Our restaurant and kitchen are run by owner Michiel van der Eerde and chef Arnout van der Kolk. Both have worked in several Michelin-starred restaurants. Michiel is also the owner of ‘Moving Circus’ BAUT and Bar/Restaurant Zuid, and he has worked at Hoefslag, Bokkedoorns, Oud Sluis and the Amstel Hotel. Arnout is the previous sous-chef of Ciel Bleu** (Okura) and has also cooked at Oud Sluis, Aan de Poel and Envy.
